Kep National Park
Kep National Park is a national park of Cambodia, the
region is in Kep Province. Kep Natural Park was established on 1st November
1993 raising the throne by King Norodom Sihanouk to protect the area, and it is
governed by the government. It covers an area of 50 km² with 28 km² of lush
forests and hills. Kep National Park is bordered on the north by the National
Road 16, south by the sea, and to the east and west by National Road 162. Its
location is just 26 km down the road from Kompot province and 175.6 km from
Phnom Penh. The nearest town lies at Krong Kaeb.
The beauty of Kep National Park has attracted a
great deal of international and national tourists to visit and stay there. Some
of the seaside in the east and west of this area, mangrove forest extends from
salty water to seashore, and these mangrove forests provide nurseries breeding
and breeding grounds for fish snails, reptiles and all seas etc. It is also a
small area that has historically been an important natural habitat for
wildlife, such as the rich, various biodiversity and beauty scenery.
The park includes a small mountain range with
tracks and trails which are popular with tourists. The trails boast incredible
views of Phu Quoc and the Bokor Ranges on the south and west sides, and views
across islands of the vast Vietnamese marine reserve in Kiên Giang to the east
side.
